Mathew Kilkrease
Mathew “Mat” Kilkrease is a former Daphne Police Officer and Commissioned Officer (Captain – Promotable) in the Alabama Army National Guard. As a police officer, Mat was trained as a traffic homicide investigator and accident reconstructionist, and investigated or reconstructed hundreds of traffic crashes. In addition to fundamentals of accident reconstruction, Mat has supplemented his training with specialized coursework in pedestrian, bicycle, and commercial vehicle crash reconstruction. He currently holds full accreditation from ACTAR (#3586).
Mat has served 15 years in the US Army and Army National Guard, where he serves as a Field Artillery and Logistics Officer. Mat has attended more than 20 U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and Joint courses throughout his career. He has served in every echelon of the U.S. Army from Team to Squad to Platoon to Battery/Company to Battalion and finally to Brigade.
Outside of work, Mat enjoys volunteering with different rescues such as the American Belgian Malinois Rescue. Mat has a Belgian Malinois, a Belgian Tervuren, a German Shepherd, and a Labrador mix, all of which were rescues at some point. Mat is also an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide athletics, the Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Falcons.
EDUCATION
Mat is an alumnus of the University of Mississippi and is currently completing his MBA at the University of Alabama’s Manderson Graduate Business School.
